I agree with you.
I have often said but not everyone believes me.
If there is a risk of meeting DG while hunting PG the hunters should be suitably armed in case of. A rifle caliber 9.3x64 or 375 H&H Magnum seems also to me to be a very good choice.
The same applies in West Africa, where only birds were hunted in areas with lions. The hunters are often only armed with their shotguns. I recommended multiples times to take at least shotgun slugs with, better than nothing.
