I will disagree with Ripp here.

Me too.

I only wear 100% cotton in hot climates. Never found a synthetic I like. For a days hunting I also wear long sleeves. Long sleeves can be rolled up if you are hot. Short sleeves can not be rolled down if you arms are burning. Long cotton trousers as well. If you like your legs all scratched and cut up wear shorts. Many places in Namibia are open and easy hunting. The Kalahari is very open. Many of the ranches are also open. I don't remember any places badly maintained with endless thorn jess like in South Africa.

On the other hand cotton is useless for cold climates. Superfine wool is great for this as long underwear. Polarfleece on top.

EXOFFICIO...have worn their long sleeve on every African hunt I have been on.. keeps bugs off and not sticky like cotton as you sweat..

Funny how people are different.. I don't think I have a cotton shirt in my closet..

SHORTS (zip offs) and Under Armour T-shirt-- lightweight, dries quickly if wet..what I usually wear when there.. along with gaiters over boots to keep sand out, really find those helpful..
