thanks for all the advice , i have larger guns but not anything in the longer range magnums.t wanted to start with a bullet and work on a load and practice know one wants to muck up a shot by not practicing. maybe the 275 grainer would be a good combanation of speed and punch. thought of a spare rifle exactly like the primary rifle it is a70 year old rifle if i break an extractor i'm renting one maybe a backup in 300 h&h
