This gentleman looks very familiar, and I should know his name.
I believe that Gentleman is Fletcher Jamieson, John Taylor's friend, mentioned repeatedly in his book "African Rifles and Cartridges," and pictured opposite page 278. wearing what appears to be the same hat.
