Personally I never really understand those that want to push things with animals, not just African stuff, but even feeding sharks to get in a frenzy and view them from underwater cages. Even wildlife shows where people walk to get up close or sit to see what the animal will do, whether it be a lion or seal, and then when it does come in too close for comfort it is always ooh ah dangerous animal and they are the hero. I just leave all animals alone unless I am intending to kill and prefer to observe them at a distance undisturbed in their natural habitat going about their business. I would get nothing out of being in that video and would definitely make that known when on a hunt. Of course the video doesn't show the circumstances leading up to the clip that we see, whether the party just happened upon the elephant up close or deliberately closed in for a photo shoot? That's my view, others may get a great kick out of close encounters of the animal kind and good luck to them. |
