One of the reasons I picked the Omaruru area of Namibia for a safari last year, was due to its reputation for big Kudu. When I got there, I found out that most of the Kudu on the ranch I was to hunt, as well as neighboring ranches, had died off due to rabies. I thought that odd, but my PH assured me it was rabies and not scabbies.
