I am more concerned about dangerous snake bite in Australia than I have ever been in Africa. So it doesn't really rate. I know when walking in high grass where I can't see where my feet are going in Africa I have thought I would never do this in Australia ...

I have carried a small first aid kit in my daypack. Pressure bandages are useful for snakebite.
