I would not feel under gunned for DG with the 8X68S, or any of my 35 cal rifles- I have 35Whelen, 35Sambar (225grain Hydro at 2800fps). All would have a Woodleigh Hydro in the chamber if DG were in the area. Sure they are not legal calibres for Ele and Buff but they will still penetrated far more than any soft point-and I would have more than a mags worth of them on the belt not to mention a few 300grain Woodleigh SN for the 35's. Yes, I would be happier with the 375 H&H. My problem would be remaining calm enough to place the rounds where they need to go.
