Quite a few people have used the good old 375 for plains game just because "375" is equated with African hunting. It probably won't be needed, but have a slighter bigger than 30 cal is always nice. If you've grown up using an '06, then the 375 would be easy to transition to since they share similar trajectories. Hell, I like to whack squirrels and wabbits with mine.
