I think that if I was after springbok, gemsbok, hartmann zebra, etc., in the arid open plains or mountains of Namibia, I'd probably take a .300 with 200+gr bullets.

Otherwise a 9.3x62 with 250gr northfork, accubond or barnes;

or a scoped double .375 H&H (belted) regulated with something common
