Terrible News...our anti-hunting USFW Service upheld their ridiculous ban on importing elephants from Zimbabwe today. Zimbabwe has WAY too many elephants, and hunters' money is the only thing paying for conservation of elephants and everything else in Zim. CITES says that the quota is sustainable (and they are the world wide regulators), but USFW thinks they know better. Now pretty much everyone else in the world can hunt and import these majestic elephants, except for US hunters. Sad for US hunters and very sad for the elephants and wonderful safari operators in Zim, many of whom I call friends. Tim Herald
