In this place along Cabora bassa lake, bushbuck is everywhere and some aren' very shy. At night, you can tread on them.

I was looking for an hippo with my 100# bow when this busbuck was spotted. My approach was long and cautious, leaves being very crispy. When so close to the game one is reluctant to show off to shoot. The arrow creased the bark, I would have kicked myself and ever since I regret it badly.
A couple of days later I saw a fantastic bushbuck that was staring at us and left when we were at 40m. A pity that we were still looking for hippo on land.

But the last day resorting to rifle I bagged my hippo and my croc
