Craig identifies a number of very valid points in his article:

Most of the points raised are actually a good thing; shrinking habitat is hardly a bonus, but that's reality as the human population increases at an alarming rate. And the cost - well that's just supply vs demand, it's gonna happen. Plains game is very affordable in the south, buffalo is not a rich man's sport by any stretch and elephant can be hunted at a fair cost, though given the problem with elephant numbers and the known associated habitat issues, elephant really should be more available and more affordable.

And is it still an adventure? Most definitely. It is what you make of it. Shoot a sable or a buff on a ranch and you'll pay top dollar for very well looked after game, probably a top scoring set of horns but I think lose out on a bit of the adventure component. Chase a buffalo or sable wild and free and you've given yourself a very challenging adventure hunt.

So yes, plenty of adventure there but you need the time and you have to be prepared to go home with a representative bull or maybe even empty handed. Plenty of big ones ones out there, there just where you find 'em!
