I guess from your post the Elephant situation is the same as in Masailand......as you say, you'll have to book a seperate trip.

Burigi is currently a good area for sitatunga but not so good for other species due to the poaching......but things change quickly in Africa.

If it's of any interst for the future, Botswana has started to issue additional Elephant quota which will make it easier to get a hunt there without having to book 3 or 4 years ahead. For 2005 at least, they've gone from 4 Elephants a year to 8. don't know if it will continue for 2006 and beyond, but I have high hopes it will.
