No offense taken. As an economist, my motives for hunting are often (at least partially) to generate revenue that benefits a particular species directly. Given that, there are few (if any) animals that I would not hunt if I thought the money was going in the right direction to preserve that species. As hunters we often go after animals that are incredibly elegant and not in the least bit dangerous but I do nonetheless respect your preference to draw a line at Cheetah. Perhaps in spite of this elegance/danger combination, the fun in hunting (for me anyway) is also found in the diverse set of experiences we gather and places we experience in the pursuit of various animals. Cheetah offers that....at least to me. Best, John |
