I just received the very sad news from his wife Robbie that Owain had been killed this morning by a wounded Buffalo. The Client, tracker and Owain tracked the Buff for three days when it charged hooking Owain and breaking his neck killing him instantly. I had the privilage of hunting with this great man for 10 glorious days in the Zambezi Valley. He was a kind and patient man who taught me so much about the land and the animals he loved. After my stay we said goodbye and BOTH of us had tears in our eyes as I do now. Tonight there is sadness around the world from all who knew him and all who wished they had.
