Bakes I think if you shoot it well there is no reason that it won't do the job. Most South Africans use simple and plain calibres such as .308, .303, .30-06, 7x57mm, 8x57mm, and the .243 and of course the good old .375. Usually with heavy to calibre bullets eg 200 and 220 gr in .30, 175 gr in 7mm. In the bushveld I would think a 160 gr would do well and the 140 gr for the open plains. The 6.5mm with heavy bullets is known for its excellent penetration. Go for it! |
