I would have no hesitation in recommending Karl Stumpfe for an elephant
hunt. He has a couple of areas in the Caprivi & a seperate area in Botswana.
Not sure if Botswana is going to stay open next year?
If you're not interested in keeping the ivory, he has some great deals on
management bulls (broken tusk, crop raiders,...). In my opinion, he hunts
the "classic" way with lots of tracking & gets up close & personal with them!!
IMHO, a 500NE would be the perfect elephant rifle. However, I never felt
undergunned with either the 450/400 or the 500/465. Didn't you just buy
a 450NE double?
