The great Jim Corbett deserved a bit of luxury. Facing off against notorious man-eating tigers and leopards almost exclusively alone as he did. His books tell of the shorts, light weight stockings and thin soled shoes as his stalking garb. He seemed to usually wear a shirt with a jacket for those cold nights sitting up over a bait which could have been a live buffalo or goat or a dead carcass of either or even one of the man-eaters dead human victims. What a life and what an era to live in. |
