So let's break down the discussion to its most basic component which is protein.

Since these animals were reportedly taken in Matetsi and were therefore truly wild animals, we can figure that several hundred pounds of natural protein went to feed who knows how many people, whether they be the hunters or local residents or camp staff.

Oh, and several thousand dollars were injected into the local economy.

This you see, is wrong.

Pity those poor people who are denied the basic human right of consuming processed protein (complete with pink slime), from animals that are bred to be killed and all of this happening far away so that we don't have to think about it or god help us see it much less take part in it...

As Ripp said the ignorant content in most of the comments is unbeleivable, and I would bet American money that the people who wrote them are not all vegetarians, (why would you want to be) which would at least lend some credibility to their formulation of their opinion even if I don't agree with it.
