I ordered this DVD as soon as it came out. I have no knowledge or experience of Elephant hunting but enjoyed it.

I watched 'The Essence of Elephant Hunting' soon after receiving 'Beasts of Legend' which was technically very good, but seemed to be promoting the DG culture and appeared to be aimed squarely at a 'certain' segment of the Safari Industry. The 'Beasts of Legend' format is well and truely done to death.

Like you, I enjoyed the educational aspects of 'The Essence of Elephant Hunting'. Also the self assesment of lessons learned in the field with a refreshing openess to show errors made. One thing I did learn being recoil shy, I will never buy a .500NE. Man, they go off at both ends.
