John If the monsoon trough comes down towards the coast (see the line on the BOM Chart), then it tends to get a bit cloudy which is good as it keeps the heat / temp down and you get a bit of a blow and some rain. If not (ie the monsoon trough heads north like it is today), you get clear skies and it is normally bloody hot. The 4 weeks prior to Xmas day were clear, very hot and dry (ie only the usual afternoon thunderstorms). Either way it is damn hot and humid, almost too hot to do anything during the day. Also too wet to go fishing in billabongs as you can't get to them. |
