Re: Aussie members - check out "The History of Safari"

Quite a lot of boring "self-guilt" by the presenter Richard Grant.

Overall not too bad but presented the high end of the historical safari, which was not the only end of the safari market. Lots of guys did it more ordinary as well. Especially the locals.

When discussing white colonialisation missed the point that a lot of the lands WERE empty in Kenya, though the Kikuyu like to claim all the empty land was theirs re-writing the history at the time. The Maasai were supposedly a reason a lot of land was not occupied having driven out or killed other tribes in a lot of areas. But of course the whites did take a lot of land which was also 'occupied'. Did mention the population at the turn of the century was 1.5 million but now 45 million so comparing now to then is a different perspective.

Overall not too bad.
