Re: The Last Day Kudu

Hi Tophet1,

Thanks, It may not be the largest Eastern Kudu taken but I am very pleased with the results but he made us work for him. I guess you could say that ‘I am as happy as a pig in poo’ with him.

Hi Ben,

Thanks, “Son” got most of the work mainly because you never know what will ‘Pop’ up and most are suitable for the 30.06

Hi Afro408,

Thanks also, I am glad you liked the story as well.

Hi Fatboy404,

Thanks Neale, I am glad you like what you see. I used 180gn TSX behind 52gns of AR2209 and of all the animals taken, only one projectile was recovered in the typical ‘Petal’ design as this was unusual to me as all animals was butchered for meat.

As for next time your correct, it only takes money and if I can raise some I will go back for sure. I will do some more posts after I catch up a bit and get some rest as it was a ‘Hard’ 2 weeks, believe me but more than worth the effort.

Hi John,

Thanks, the Taxidermist says they will be ready to ship in about 3-4 months as he is a friend of Chris Troskie and the property owners where we hunted ( A bit of luck for me )

The Black Springbok was a difficult one in the Eastern Cape, long ranges.

Hi Mikeh416Rigby,

Your right there, a lot of good memories and photos to keep the dream alive and the trophies when they arrive.

Thanks Again Fellas,

Cheers for now,

Jeff Gray
