Roaming on the internet I just picked out an excellent book for free at Internet Archives : "Hunters choice, thrilling true stories"

I deeply appreciate Alexander Lake's books : "Hunters choice, thrilling true stories" and "Killers in Africa; the truth about animals lying in wait and hunters lying in print." And I have read them again and again, always spending an exhilarating time.

During his many safaris on the continent of African during the early 1900s, Lake encountered life-threatening situations with baboons, antelope, zebras, elephants, lions, hippos, rhinos, and perhaps the most dangerous of all creatures, man. He was an expert on weapons, exotic species, securing guides, and tells his stirring tales of life in the bush in a gripping style reminiscent of Hemingway.
