I agree with the other posts. It's the "dead ones" that get you. You could make a shot that eventually would be fatal with a smaller caliber gun, but the animal has enough life left to charge and maul you as well. Your gun may not stop the charge. This is why game departments have set minimums. Shot placement is everything...usually. Caliber and energy are the back up plan!(again with proper placement) |
