I think it's cool you're using the .35 WCF! I have often thought about my lever in .348 WIN for a plains game hunt. It works fine on Elk/Moose in North America, so I gotta think it could handle similar-sized African game.

And, although not ideal, if I got into trouble and big cats showed up, I would at least have a reasonable round plus fast repeatability on my side!
