Re: Omujeve Safaris?

Why are rhino hunts necessarily "canned hunts"?

Please describe the exact conditions "Omujeve" operates its rhino hunts under?

From the outfitters I have seen, in Zimbabwe, they sometimes have two or three rhino, or more, running wild and presumably breeding, in very large (often 50,000 to 100,000 acres) fenced areas. They were required to be fenced by law.

They were allowed to hunt a rhino after satisfying certain conditions.

If done in this manner, I can't see how the word "canned" can be used. Certainly expensive though.

If bred in small enclosures and released after extensive captivity, I can certainly see this as being described as "canned".
