The countryside is really neat JH - a lot of it is not as thick as is indicated in the 2 images, there is some open country as well and the best hunting has about 50:50 thorn:open ground. The euphorbia and aloes are a unique combination along with thorn bushes and acacia trees.

A lot of people say to me - I bet you're hooked now... Hell, I was hooked before I left!!!

That butte in the photo is tribal land across the Umkomaas river from where we were hunting and those rolling hills on the plateau in the background is the former estate of Cecil John Rohdes.
