John, I think he is saying that that is one of the problems here, that tourism should be a factor, and isn't. (or have I read it wrong?) My interpretation ......... tourism should feature but doesn't (?) At this point, because of the state of things, tourism is the only factor that is bringing in any source of revenue to the National Parks for wildlife management.( Not arguing with you John, I may be reading what he is saying wrong) The thing that is often overlooked, is that hunting is also a type of tourism, for example hunting makes up about 17% of tourism here in South Africa (last years stats), so we as the hunters are again being overlooked, even with our current contributions toward conservation via tourism.

@ Gryph, yep, isn't that always the case? They are trying to use it here for problem animal control (seriously), but I think it is a short term solution to a long term problem, what do they use it for there?
