Re: Jaguars vs Leopards

In reply to:

No animal is a born a maneater,it becomes one only when it is forced. For instance when it is too week to hunt another animal it finds man an easy prey, especially a defensless man. When there is no other prey around and only a man is available it has no other choice to satisfy it's hunger.Jim Corbett in one of his books mentioned an incident when on a narrow path he crossed a tiger but was careful not to look directly in its eyes and instead turned his face and passed by without being attacked.
On the contarary man is and has always been a animal eater .

Yes, I have heard this school of thought many times, but I am afraid that I must respectfully say that I personally do not in any way subscribe to this school of thought. I have simply seen too much irrefutable proof to the contrary. I have seen too many documented cases of all predators - mammals, reptiles, fish, and even birds - making dinner of humans when absolutely none of the above conditions were present. I am very sorry, but in my honest opinion that is simply Disney propaganda, and I would respectfully urge all fellow hunters not to fall for this "humans are bad - animals are good," propaganda, and to purge their minds of these kinds of thoughts.

Iqbal, you are a fellow hunter and I like you, but I would urge you to study more cases and give consideration to changing your opinion.
