I guess I don't have a "favorite", and although it's not just African wildlife, some work that caught my eye recently was done by Kate Ferguson, a very talented Australian.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Kate and seeing some of her captivating art at an SCI Down Under show. Never thought I'd see the breeze rippling the fur on a lion on canvas, or see water literally running down an elephants hide in a painting, but I have now. Quite amazing work, and she is a really nice person too. She also does great drawings. Might be worth checking out....
