Not enough experience to matter much, but I used an 8mm Rem. mag with 220 grain Xs last time and it worked like a champ. Used a 416 Rem. on the eland.

Next time I plan on using a rebarreled Mod 70 in 340 Weatherby. 250 grain Swifts or 240 North Forks.
