Umm, with all due respect, and someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the .318 WR was developed in England, and England is not an African country, it is a European country. That, I believe, would make the .318 a European cartridge, not an African cartridge. In fact, I cannot think of a single cartridge that was ever developed by the Africans. I read a story of an African shooting a piece of steel reinforcing bar out of a muzzle loader once.. I guess that would maybe be classified as a true African cartridge.
