If you can hunt and kill a big water buffalo bull well, IMO you can also do the same with cape buffalo. If anything water buffalo IMO are a little harder to kill, but hell I've only shot one cape buffalo, so know f'all.
Cape buffalo definitely have more of an "edge" to them though.
