Sorry but my "Funshop" is locked up at present, so I'm not able to confirm this effect to you, at present. Eric, I'll get back to you on this and other details, asap!
My Reflex sight has it's Fiber Optic "Booster", located around the outside of the objective lens.
To the best of my knowledge, this fiber optic is what brightens the dot/chevron when the ambient light is available and required.
