Agree with your first bit but not the second. I was concerned that when running backwards as both the hunter and the PH were doing after the first shots it could have proved fatal if they had tripped, especially the hunter who did eventually bring his second barrel into play to good effect but he sure would have look silly if sitting on his arse. I don't think the PH had managed to reload by then so he was of no use at that stage of the charge. It appeared as though he was putting the effort into getting back rather than a fast reload of that bolt action and a follow up shot.

I know its easy to comment when not there but I guess it doesn't hurt to review the situation and hope to learn from it.
