Forget the gore tex, you won't be there long enough or usually get wet enough for them to matter and they are hot. I have a pair of Courtney's in elephant and after the usual 5 year/50,000 mile break in they are now very comfortable. I'm on my second set of tires for them now. I also have a pair of Kudu skin boots, like Desert Boots, that wear like iron and are very, very comfortable. Like hunting in your socks, with a sole. They cost about US$30 new and never needed to be broke in. Russel PHs are also very nice. (I have a lot of boots ) |
