Thanks for your reply Steve, I do hope one day I will get to your beloved country on safari, and of course I will respect your customs and way of life as I have done in my travels to other countries and cultures. Africa has always held an intense fascination for me all my life and is the place I have longed to visit. Family committements have occupied my life for the last 20 years and I still have two boys who have not flown the nest yet. Prior to that my single life from a young age was basically hunting and shooting, and lucky enough to spend a year of that in Southern Germany hunting and skiing. I share my surname with that most famous African hunter, W D M Bell. My great grandfather came from Scotland so maybe there could be a long distant relationship somewhere there and maybe a bit of reincarnation as old W D died in the same year I was born. Would be nice to think so although I certainly wouldn't be so presumptious to think I could fill even a part of his shoe. Steve you are so fortunate to be able to spend your life amongst the animals and people of Africa and certainly the envy of many. A shame that the political situations in many of the countries of Africa are so unsettled, the continent seems to be such a rich and diverse place with room for everybody to exist in peace. Cheers and keep up the good work. |
