I remember a conversation I had with a very experienced professional stalker in the UK. He described how he had stalked to the edge of a hay field and was lined up on a cull roebuck. In his words, he was in the absolute final stages of squeezing the trigger when into the cross hairs popped a man's head. It seems that a couple had been 'enjoying the spring sunshine' in the middle of the hay field! Yes they were trespassing and yes there was no indication that they were there. BUT neither of us was in much doubt that a manslaughter charge would have ensued had the worst happened... Regardless of the outcome, there would have been severe implications for the man's job and future ownership of firearms, even if he had retained his liberty... The story could well have been exaggerated, but it serves to illustrate a point...
