Absolutely! Which is why this incident gets classified as a fnck up.
Which scenario would screw with your head more? Accidentally shooting someone you didn't know was there or accidentally saving someone you didn't know was there. Either way, an inch in either direction is the difference in being the "hero" or being the "villain" and you none the wiser.
