Re: Brittany Boddington Leopard Incident

I just believe from my own experience I think the resultant shooting and injury MAY have been an avoidable accident not WAS an avoidable acccident.

Life is far from perfect at least mine and none of my potentially hazardous encounters were either, and as in this case most all survived (excluding the cat).

In my experience in "dangerous" situations things happen FAST most times faster and much different than in training.

You can only proceed on training, instinct, decision making and guts. You can choose to engage or not, and that IS a SPLIT second decision. BUT you have to make a choice, not engaging is a choice.

In my personal world choosing not to act is generally more dangerous and worse things happen than if you engage in the action at hand.

I cannot fault her for her choice and apparently no one involved does.

I am glad some of my colleagues did fire on occasion, FAR too close to me, no I was not being mauled, only shot at. BTW,Ive been shot, just not mauled, yet.

I would however hope, that if I were being mauled someone WOULD act and fire.

I believe I would.
In this case don't know with certainty , I wasn't there , which IS my biggest contention with regard to the second guessing

It IS a dangerous game, and so named for a reason, and you can't play from the keyboard.
