I read a study a awhile back that did state BLUE to be a color that does not exist in nature, and in addition, it is seen by animals as a "bright" shade and is highly visible. With the type of hunting here described, I can't see any disadvantage to wearing blue or orange or any other color. Or even an orange vest that could be removed when hunting game where camo may have some advantage, however slight. We are not required by law to wear orange here, but we do under certain circumstances. Bear hunting is NOT one of them. Is orange worn by any African hunters? I've never heard of it being worn, and never saw it over there, worn or even sold. |
