If I read the posts on AR correctly the gentleman who was shot is expected to make a full recovery. The most significant threat to his life was fromn blood loss, not structural damage.

Let us not overdramatise this.

This accident gets our attention because it involves a sport, and sporting equipment, that are extremely important to us. Not because the injury is spectacularly great.
