Ok, with 'The Punki Incident' fresh on just about every hunting/shooting forum on the Net, how (or do) you shoot a Cat off someone ? Be it Lion or Leopard ? I read/heard a long time ago that the method was to hold your rifle low and parrallel to the ground with the muzzle at the height of the aggrieved cat, walk up to it and then fire. The theory being that the trajectory of the projectile is parrallel with the ground and less, I stress less, likely to hit someone prone under the cat. Should this be done by just the PH ? Also what precautions should someone take who is being mauled ? Lets learn from this incident . Edit: Spelling |
