I notice you mention "flicking the safety off".

So when you are going in after a wounded animal,
and assuming you are first in line, do you always have the safety on or do you sometimes stalk in without it on or do you wait to take it off until you see the animal ?

Of course if you have a tracker in front, safety would be on.
