I have just revisited this post and note you have stainless rifles.

I had rust blued rifles with me last year and the reflections from the barrels disturbed game. I would suggest making up a barrel sock or buying some of that non-reflective tape you can apply to the barrel. Beware of discolouration if you leave it on too long or if it rains.

For the grassveldt section of my next hunt, I have made up a barrel sock from hessian and will cut up an old sock to cover the matte scope. I recommend you do something similar.
