The Caprivi Strip is about 80 kilometres wide though.

As for close to a boundary the only buffalo herd we looked at in 2006 were a hop skip and a jump away from the Matsuadona National Park boundary in the Omay, so breaking some bone would have been an objective. Can happen anywhere.
