I am very pleased with my Merkel Mod 140 in 9.3 x 74R, this Eland bull was shot at about 90 yds, using Norma Alaskan 286 gr. I hit him quartering through his front shoulder, he managed about 15 yds and was stone dead when we got to him. Unfortunately I did not receive the recovered bullet, it was our last day in camp and he had been butchered when we returned.
