Short tuskless and cow elephant hunts in Zimbabwe are the cheapest dangerous game hunts around. Cheaper than cape buffalo. No trophy but the photos and the memories. WELL worth the fun. I would do it every year if I could. Some regard hunting the Zambezi ladies in herds also as more risk of danger than bulls or buffs.
I would also look at Zim for a short buffalo hunt as well.
Remember Zim is probably relatively cheap at the moment for a reason - ie politics, but if planned properly, the sky does not fall in over there and unless one is very unlucky, the safari will be a great experience.
